Kenya Sevens will face USA as the World Sevens Series returns this weekend with the Singapore leg at the National Stadium in Singapore, after a two-month break.
At-least 45 matches are lined-up with New Zealand, Samoa set for their maiden appearance since 2020 while Fiji are also back in the mix.
Shujaa are in Group A in the Singapore Sevens alongside series leaders South Africa who are on a 34-match winning run, USA and Canada.
Kenya will begin their campaign tomorrow morning (7:12am) with a clash against USA before facing their African rivals South Africa at 10:40 am.
Their final match of the group will be against hosts Canada at 2:05 pm.
"We are in a very competitive group in Singapore and we obviously want to improve on our performances from the last outing in Spain. The focus is to qualify from the pool," said Shujaa coach Innocent Simiyu.
"Our training has been on areas that have been an Achilles heel. And starting from Singapore we hope that we can start finding the consistency that we need going forward."
Simiyu last week named a youthful sixteen-man squad for next month's World Rugby Sevens Series Circuit in Singapore and Vancouver.
Simiyu included the quartet of Collins Shikoli, Richel Wangila, Ben Salem and Zeden Marrow who are set to make their maiden international appearance at the upcoming fifth and sixth round of the 2021-2022 World Rugby season.
Nelson Oyoo will captain the Kenya Sevens squad alongside Herman Humwa.
Singapore is considered as a good hunting ground for Shujaa since it is the only leg which Kenya has won in the history of World Sevens Rugby.
In 2016, Shujaa legend Collins Injera scored two tries as Kenya thumped Fiji 30-7 to lift their first ever Cup title.
Kenya are currently eighth on the log with 31 points after the double Dubai legs, Malaga and Seville legs.
