After Akon failed to keep his word on mentoring young Kenyan rapper Young Wizz, whom he adapted during his recent star search on a Nairobi visit, the singer has now resolved to work with philanthropic Matapeli singer Jaguar, who has since embraced him.
“The Akon guy was not helping me as they were asking me to move to a boarding school — which I could not afford — and they were gagging me from talking to the media,” the 14-year-old told Pulse on Wednesday.
“In the process, I met Jaguar who decided to pay my school fees and take me to studio, and I am now working with Ogopa Deejays,” said the young rapper.
“I only opted to assist as his expectations were so high after he was promised a recording deal with Akon. We should help nurture young talent and if I can assist the young singer, then, why not,” Jaguar told Pulse, responding to the news.
