Which campus did you attend? I studied Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at University of Embu.
Favourite/worst unit? Software Engineering was my best unit. I enjoyed creating software. My classmates and I would boast around campus that we were doing a ‘digital’ course. Operating System was my worst because it had lots of notes to read.
Best/worst lecturer? Dr Consolata Gakii was my best lecturer. Besides class work, she supported my artistic work in my third year of study. I didn’t have any bad lecturer.
How was life on campus generally? It was full of fun and life. Despite the fact that I was away from home, the freedom gave me a sense of discipline, which I hold to-date.
How did you make money on campus? I depended on my parents for money to some level, though I would perform in campus travel theatres where we visited high schools to perform set books. I also sold my music and made some money from it.
How was dating like on campus? I wasn’t lucky enough to find a lady who matched what I wanted. Therefore, I left as I had joined.
What do you think about campus relationships? They are both fun and boring. Boring because if you have a jealous partner, you won’t have enough time with your friends and fun in relationships with ‘benefits’.
Where did you spend most of your campus weekends and what would you do? I spent most of my weekends in clubs and events showcasing my talent. But when there were no gigs, I would stay indoors and relax.
What did you do with your free time? I composed songs, listened to music and watched movies.
Classmates you will never forget and why? Frankline Mutuma. He motivated me to go on even when I was giving up. He turned from my classmate to my manager.
