Mugithi singer Samidoh this week asserted that he is a good father to all his children despite what is said about him online.
Speaking to online media, the Kairitu Gakwa singer said he is always there for his children and devotes his time and resources to ensure they are all doing well.
"I may not be many things but I am a good father. I am always there for my children. When it comes to time, financial support...I am always there for all of them," he said.
When asked what his children think of his actions, Samidoh said he is not sure whether they know but there is nothing wrong with trending.
"I am not the problem...the media often blows things out of proportion. My work is to guide my children and teach them how to navigate through life.
"I talk to my eldest daughter about these things...I also talk to the rest of my children and teach them," he said.
Samidoh, who has children with Edday Nderitu and Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu, has often been a trending topic but does not mind the critics.
In a previous interview with Vybez Radio, Nyamu said Samidoh always provides for his children and despite all the drama, he is an amazing father.
"He might not be many things but he is a responsible dad.
"He does what he is supposed to do for the children whether we are in talking terms or not. Akijua for example mtoto anaanza shule lazima atacontribute. Kwangu yeye huniangusha but hajawai angusha watoto," she said.
So tumultuous was Samidoh's relationship with his baby mamas that he once captured the attention of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who asked him to put his house in order.
This was after an altercation in Dubai that almost tarnished his reputation.
"Samidoh, you know how we love you and your songs. Don't take your family affairs abroad. We don't want foreigners to know so much about us," he told the singer.
