Comedienne Eunice Njeri alias Mammito has come under fire over a recent skit she made reacting to Jowie Irungu's death sentencing.
In the video shared on her Instagram page, the social media sensation is seen singing with a prison backdrop asking Jowie not to cry because of his sentencing but rather see it as an opportunity to scam Kenyans.
"Jowie, Jowie, Jowie, Jowiiiieeee don't you cry because you got a death sentence. Jowie, Jowie, Jowie Jowiiiieeee, see it as an opportunity to scam us Jowie. When you go to that prison you will find a man that loves you so dearly, you will find so many Jowie," she sang.
Mammito went on to suggest that Jowie uses his songs in the prison talents show, alluding that he would do good.
"When you go to that prison with your two songs you are going to perform in the prison talent show and you will kill it Jowie. Jowie, Jowie, Jowie Jowiiiieeee, see it as an opportunity to scam us Jowie," she added.
Angry netizens including notable celebrities were quick to react to the video telling the comedian to stop making fun of Jowie's situation.

In a rejoinder, the former Churchill Show comedian explained that the fact that individuals came together to discredit her work and "cook her" gives her hope that one day Kenyans will unite to fight against corruption and other issues ailing the country.
"I have a witnessed a very rare occurrence something that has not happened since 2002 people from every background uniting together for a reason, to cook me. It gives me hope for the future that one day we shall unite and fight against corruption and other things ailing our country," she wrote.
Mammito also expressed her disappointment, questioning whether her appearance is the reason for the trolling she is currently receiving.
"Am in hot fire now, my soul weeps. I am but a small thin woman with no buttocks and am not as attractive, how dare I joke about a beautiful accused person, but your unity how it fills my soul!" she questioned.
