Kenyan model Celestine Awuor who represented Kenya at the Universal Woman International contest was awarded the Universal Mission Award after she emerged as the best top social project in an event held in Dubai.

Celestine, who took to her social media to celebrate the win, said that she embraced hard work, courage and confidence in her journey to Universal Woman.

"My Journey to Universal Woman was a long one with a lot of hard work, courage and confidence. I thank God, for the anointing he bestowed on me, I acknowledge His favour, Grace and will." A section of the post read.

Speaking to The Nairobian, the beauty queen said that she was grateful her project received international recognition.

"I feel honoured that my social project got international recognition and this means I am creating an impact not only in Kenya but in the whole world. I will be travelling around the world as a Universal mission ambassador to create a community and to promote equality." Celestine said.

She said that she is advocating for women's empowerment, inclusivity of women in decision-making, creating awareness and inventing technical ways that women and girls can adapt to the effects of climate change.

"Universal woman beauty pageant is a program of activities focused on family values, promotion of diverse cultures, tourism and respect for women. The main purpose is to crown the ambassador of kindness, able to transmit tolerance and togetherness among all countries in the world promoting global peace." She said.

Celestine, among other four contestants who will be working with Universal Mission Organisation in different charities and forums in different countries.
