A woman in Uganda probably owes her lucky stars to top Nigerian singer and songwriter Wizkid after he saved her from a male fan who was harassing her in the middle of his concert over the weekend.
According to a video making rounds online, Wizkid was in the middle of his performance at Lugogo Cricket Oval, Uganda, when he reportedly noticed the female fan being assaulted as she tried to make her way close to the stage.
Wizkid stopped his live band immediately and demanded that the unidentified man stops putting his hands on the woman.
He then called on his security to make way for the woman to join him on stage.
“Hey hey hey, Mr Man, don’t touch that girl. Listen to me, one love. Wizkid shows are all about love. We preach love we are all about love.
“Don’t ever touch a woman again in your life. Don’t do that, bring her on stage,” beckoned Wizkid.
While in Uganda, Wizkid told a local TV station that he will not be attending any international award shows where organisers hand out awards to African musicians backstage.
“This is why I don’t go for those shows. That is what I do, I don’t take nonsense from anyone trying to look down on Africa,” said Wizkid
