Daniel Ndambuki a.k.a Churchill is without a doubt a house hold name and many have probably heard about, if not met him.

With more than a million likes and followers on Face book, Churchill has carved out a niche for himself not only as a comedian, but as renowned business man and CEO who business has been doing well over the years.

Aside from running an influential company dubbed The Laugh Industry, Churchill has mentored some of the popular artistes from oblivion to relevance by creating a platform where they have grown to become household names too.

But just when you thought he has always had it, his life story reveals just how resilient and determined he has been in the quest to becme a trendsetter.

Born in Machakos County Ukambani, Eastern Kenya, Churchill joined the Kenyan comedy scene back in 1995 during which time the “Redykyulass” comedy show was quite popular.

The comedy show which was one of Kenya’s firsts featured Walter Mongare (Nyambane), Peter Kaimenyi (Kajairo), Maurice Otieno (Mdomo Baggy), John Kiarie(KJ) and Anthony Njuguna all of whom were known as rib ticklers.

As time progressed, Churchill started the Laughter Industry Company, through which he hoped to revive the comic scene which seemed to have lost touch.

Over the years, Churchill perfected his comic art and doubled up as an MC, and radio host whose witty remarks have garnered him a large and ardent following.

With awards like the Mavuno Awards for ‘Best Narrator’ (1999), Kalasha Awards for ‘Best Overall TV Program’ (2009), and Word of Life 2007 ‘Theatre Person of the Year’, his brand has grown far and wide, and his show has made him a top shot in the Kenyan showbiz scene.

As a brand, an influencer and trendsetter, Churchill has sure touched the lives of many people in one way or the other. It is for this reason that he is our distinguished MCM today.
