After producing the reigning Miss University last year, Kenyatta University is now set to defend the title following a glitzy Mr and Miss Kenyatta University (KU) bonanza during which Rose Macharia, a third-year Medicine and Surgery student was crowned the new Miss KU.
During the ceremony, Odhiambo Dennis, a second-year student won himself the Mr KU title. Everlyne Adongo and Maureen Mwambi were crowned the Miss KU first and second runners up, respectively.
The well-attended Standard Group-sponsored event showcased the diversity of Kenya’s cultures and art, and was a culmination of the annual Kenyatta University Cultural week, one of the most spectacular extravaganzas any local university has ever held.
