The 16-year-old boy who left many Kenyans in stitches after a video of him bleating like a goat and crowing as a rooster at Makupa Police Station in Mombasa went viral has finally spoken out, and he insists the stunt was all an act.
Speaking in an interview with comedian and musician Oga Obinna, the teenager identified as Barack revealed he is from Tanzania and had orchestrated the entire spectacle in a bid to attract attention and get help.
"I was in Mombasa and pretended to bleat like a goat and a rooster to be viewed as a thief of livestock. I went to the police station to act like someone who had committed a crime and was begging for forgiveness. I was not bewitched, it's my talent," the boy calmly explained.

He disclosed that he was stranded and desperately needed fare to return to Tanzania. Lacking options or anyone to turn to for help, he decided to put on a show.
The unusual antics paid off as police officers at the station, moved by his situation, gave him transport money to travel to Nairobi.
The boy also added that making animal noises is something he naturally does, especially when he's hungry. "My mother doesn't even have a cooking pot, and I'm trying to get her one once I go back home," he shared.
Initially, the viral video had many believing the teen was bewitched. In the footage, he is seen in a red hoodie, displaying bizarre facial expressions and producing goat-like bleats and rooster crows as police officers tried to interrogate him.
At some point, officers gave him a pen and paper to write his name and story. In writing, he claimed to be a Luo from Nairobi who had stolen two goats and two chickens, another detail he now says was part of the act.
Obinna vowed to help the young man get back to school in his home country and promised to purchase school uniforms for him.
