The State Department of Wildlife has defended President Uhuru Kenyatta on the appointment of Brigadier John Waweru as the Kenya Wildlife Service Director General.
Principal Secretary Susan Koech was replying to a suit where Renny Langat has challenged the hiring of Waweru.
Renny wants the court to quash Waweru's appointment, claiming that the new DG is a career military man and his training is not relevant to KWS work.
But Dr Koech told the court that Waweru's appointment was regular, legal and in compliance with the Constitution, and that the President did not violate any provisions of the law.
