Some boda boda operators have developed a tendency of offering students money and other goodies to gain their trust. It is most saddening because just Sh100 or ‘chips’ is enough to lure the girls into their traps.
You will always meet them in the evening waiting for the young girls to step out of school offering them lifts. As if that is not enough, some of the operators have in some cases disappeared with the girls only to resurface after they have conceived. At this point, they drop them and pick gullible girls.Primary school girls have also fallen victim. Some are impregnated and some forced to abort while others carry the pregnancy to term then drop out of school.
Action should be taken against these boda boda men to put the practice to an end. The Government should encouraged and supported to finish their studies.
