It seems major political parties used the wrong formula to come up with ‘70+1’ and ‘10 Million Strong’ phrases for Jubilee Party and NASA Coalitions respectively.
This is evident from the latest survey by IPSOS Synovate in which the two major presidential candidates got supplementaries.
President Uhuru Kenyatta got 47 percent which is far away from the hyped 70+1 but close to 50+1 required by the constitution for one to be declared as a presidential winner.

On the other hand Raila Odinga's 42 percent translates to about 1.5 million less of 10 million. Could it be a strange fallacy? Or did the two top presidential candidates just fail to get the mathematics right?
This shows that the Presidential race is between the two horses President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.
The rest will just have to hope that they get the most out of these elections.
