Kenya will host the 2014 CAR Africa Women’s Cup Sevens in April this year. IRB General Manager for Africa, Jean-Luc Barthez confirmed this at the ongoing IRB Leading Africa Seminar in Cape Town, South Africa.

He said: “Owing to logistical challenges stemming from hosting it in Morocco, Kenya offered to host the event and the Confederation of African Rugby accepted their offer.” This year’s tournament will be held in Machakos and will feature eight teams namely South Africa, Tunisia, Senegal, Kenya, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Madagascar and Namibia. — KRU.com
