KENYA: Something to smile about - Kenya move up the ladder in the latest FIFA world ranking released today (19/12/2013). From the recent display of football in the just concluded CECAFA senior challenge cup that was hosted in Kenya, and Harambee Stars emerged the champions, Kenya has moved eight places up from position 117 in the FIFA world rankings which is lead by Spain with 1507 points followed by Germany and Argentina respectively.
The recent staller performance helped the country to lip-frog from position 117 to position 109 with 293 points in the FIFA rankings. Uganda maintained their place ahead of Kenya in position 86 with 402 points and is considered to be the highest-ranking country in East Africa.
