Popular ODM supporter Omosh One Hour has urged young Kenyans to seek access to State House through intellect rather than street demonstrations.

Speaking during a government-sponsored youth empowerment programme at State House on Saturday, Omosh took to TikTok amidst laughter to offer his nuggets of wisdom on how to access the president's residence.

“State House ndio ile pale nyuma, hukuji na maandamano, unakuja na akili,”
(State House is right there, you don’t come with protests, you come with wisdom).

The event, attended by President William Ruto, featured live performances and speeches aimed at engaging the youth.

Omosh’s remarks came as he entertained his online audience with energetic dance moves to the popular Kalenjin hit Samantha, drawing loud cheers.

The State House grounds, recently renovated and stripped of their colonial-era design for a modern flat-roof look, provided the backdrop for the gathering.

MC Chipukizi kept the atmosphere lively, while security remained tight throughout the day.

The youth empowerment drive was held just six months after the costly State House facelift, which has drawn public criticism over transparency and priorities amid the country’s economic hardships.

Omosh’s statement sparked debate online, with supporters praising his call for strategic engagement, while critics viewed it as an attempt to discourage dissent.

Some social media users also noted the irony of “one term” chants emerging from sections of the crowd during a presidential event.
