Narok, Kenya: Maasai Council of Elders in Narok County have asked local legislators, who snubbed Deputy President William Ruto's function, to respect the country's top leadership and support the government for the region to develop.
Speaking Friday in his office, council chairman Kasaine ole Esho hit out at the leaders saying their action was an embarrassment to the county leadership regardless of their political differences.
Narok Senator Stephen ole Ntutu, MPs Johana Ng'eno (Emurrua Dikirr), Korei ole Lemein (Narok South), Moitalel ole Kenta (Narok North) and Patrick ole Ntutu (Narok West) Monday last week skipped the launch of Sh1.2 billion Narok township roads by the DP.
"The DP should not have been ignored by the leaders regardless of their differences with Governor Samuel Tunai," said Mr Esho.
