NAIROBI: Energy Cabinet Secretary Charles Keter has told the sector's bosses that he will not entertain bureaucracy and laziness. The CS also told the Energy chiefs to meet time-lines set for delivery of projects.
"There are time-lines in all the activities we are doing. Let's stick to them," he said. Keter made the remarks during an introductory and strategy meeting with parastatal heads and board members yesterday.
The parastatals are Kenya Electricity Generating Company, Geothermal Development Corporation, Kenya Nuclear Electricity Board, Kenya Electricity Transmission Company Limited and Kenya Power and Lighting Company. Others include Rural Electrification Authority, The Kenya Pipeline Company, National Oil Corporation of Kenya and Electricity Regulatory Board.
"There are people who say you do not go to the CS before you go to the PS. I am different and will see everyone, he said.
The CS also called for teamwork to overcome the various challenges faced in the industry.
