Twenty-six people have tested positive for the coronavirus today from 5,679 samples conducted in the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry has announced.
Kenya’s Covid-19 positivity rate is now 0.5 per cent with 322,640 confirmed cases and 3,322,325 tests conducted since the onset of the disease.
Some twenty-nine patients have also recovered from the disease, “with twenty-seven discharged from the Home-Based Isolation and Care program while two were discharged from various health facilities countrywide,” Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said.
Total recoveries in the country are now 302,966.

No Covid-19 death-related death has been reported today. The death toll remains 5,633.
Further, “a total of one hundred and thirty-seven patients are currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while five hundred and ninety-three are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.”
Three patients are in the ICU.
Vaccination
The country has administered some 16 million Covid-19 vaccines.
69,574 people have been vaccinated in the last 24 hours. So far, only 26.8 per cent of the adult population is fully inoculated.
