Celonia on stage with Ya Levis.

By now you must have come across several viral videos of the just concluded Raha Fest which took place last weekend at Uhuru Gardens.

Forget about Davido, one of the standout performances during the two-day event was one Njanja Kabbia aka Celonia.

Let me jog your memory a bit, Celonia, who is a professional pole dancer, danced during Ya Levis' performance, much to the delight of the crowd.

In a recent interview, she disclosed that she charges around Sh500,000 for a performance but that also depends on the duration of the dance.

"The charges depend on so many things...how long you want me to perform...I charge at least 500k. Usually, a set is 10 minutes. I charge just 500k," she said.

Asked how much she made at Raha Fest, Celonia did not disclose the exact amount but hinted that it was decent enough.

Many would wonder what her parents and relatives think of her craft but she said her mum is her greatest support system.

"This is my main hustle. Besides dancing, I am a full-time teacher. I have a studio on 104 Riverside Drive where I teach all day every day so full-time hustle.

"My mum has strongly been my biggest supporter, my dad too but my mum has really come through! My whole family too but my mum has been my BIGGEST support. So at first, they were like 'aaii unataka kufanya yoga? Na hii pole?' she said.

Adding: "But I'm glad they trusted the process. Actually, when I brought the pole she tried it out, she was like okay let's do this and she climbed on it. So very supportive."
