NAIROBI, KENYA: A passenger train derailed yesterday in Ruiru, forcing the commuters to seek alternative means of getting to the town centre.
The locomotive missed the rail, touching the ground while the drivers were fixing the engine to the coaches for the morning trip.
The morning incident caused inconveniences to many users who were not informed of the incident as they waited for long hours at the stopping points.
Officials say the train was removed at 11am and resumed operations in the evening.
