South Sudan has started demarcating its international border with Kenya and five other countries.

A technical committee yesterday met with officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where a deal to start the exercise was reached.

South Sudan Foreign Affairs Minister and International Cooperation Marial Barnaba who led the 18-man team said the process will be done using colonial map and geological information.

“We have started the process with Uganda and we want to do the same with Kenya. We shall consult old maps and data that were used by our colonial masters in 1912 to conduct the exercise,” said Mr Barnaba.
