Margaret Saitoti moved to court to challenge a move by a Nakuru couple claiming that Zachary Musengi is their son.
Mr and Mrs Ngunju had gone to court seeking a private prosecution against the late Minister’s widow claiming that Zachary is their son who had been kidnapped from their home in Subukia 24 years ago.
Mr. Ngunju who is a teacher and his wife want the widow charged with wrongfully keeping in confinement a kidnapped or abducted person.
Nakuru Principal Magistrate James Mwaniki had this week ordered Ngunju to serve Saitoti’s widow who is the respondent and the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions as an interested party.
The Magistrate said the case will be mentioned on November 27.
Mr. Ngunju said that he had suspicions that the only son of the former Minister is his but has been unable to pursue the matter after receiving death threats.
