The ongoing Matungu by-election has been marred by accusations and counter-accusations pitting three frontrunners.
Leaders allied to United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate Alex Lanya stormed Bulonga Primary School voting station in Khalaba Ward claiming that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) had ejected their agents.
The leaders were led by MPs Oscar Sudi (Jubilee, Kapseret) and former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa.
Echesa claimed that a UDA party agent had been evicted from the polling station in unclear circumstances by the security team under the instruction of a presiding officer.

"You cannot come here and force our agents out of the polling station, this is illegal, " Echesa shouted at the IEBC officials.
Peter Okura, a presiding officer claimed he was attacked by the UDA team.
The UDA team later left the polling station to allow their candidate (Lanya) to vote.
It is yet to be known if IEBC will take action against the UDA team.
Lanya later strongly condemned the incident, pointing an accusing finger at the Kakamega County government.
"We have asked IEBC to be vigilant during the voting process at the constituency as the county government wants to interfere in favour of the ODM candidate," said Lanya.
