CBK rate held at 18%

Central Bank’s monetary policy committee has maintained the country’s key lending rate at 18 percent while announcing it will continue its interventions through open market involvement to reduce interbank volatility. the committee has however warned of potential risks to the economy due to wide current account deficit and rising crude oil prices.
