Mugo diagnosed with Breast Cancer

By | January 13th 2012
Public health minister Beth Mugo Thursday revealed she is recovering from breast cancer after undergoing surgery for the killer disease in the united states. The minister's announcement brings into focus the growing number of cancer cases in Kenya amid concerns by doctors that nearly 90 per cent of kenyan women have never had a clinical breast examination. Mugo follows the example set by medical services minister prof Anyang Nyongo, who went public after undergoing treatment for prostate cancer.
