Parents in Isiolo decry poor timing on the opening of schools following the short holiday

Parents of school-going children in Isiolo have hit out at the Ministry of Education and leadership of CS George Magoha for poor timing on the opening of schools, following the shortest holiday in the history of Kenyan education. Led by the Isiolo Parents Association Chairman Ismail Ali Galma, the parents reiterated that they were ill-prepared to afford school fees partly due to the fact that most employed parents were yet to get salaries while the ten days’ holiday has also made it more difficult for them to prepare adequately for the resumption of learning.
