COVID Return? - Europe weekly cases numbers exceed those reported in March
The numbers of COVID-19 cases reported every week in Europe are now exceeding those reported in March when the pandemic first peaked. More than half of the countries in Europe have seen an increase in cases of over ten per cent in the past two weeks.
Although there has been an increase in the number of cases among older age group, the biggest proportion is still among 25-49-year-olds, claims WHO regional director for Europe, Dr Hans Kluge
The total number of cases in Europe since the beginning of the pandemic are now up to 4,893,614 and 226,524 deaths have been recorded.
