Will there be referendum or no referendum for BBI? | PERSPECTIVE

Kenyans have until January 2020 to read, analyse and make an informed decisions as well as deliberations on the BBI report, this is according to the BBI task-force joint Secretary Paul Mwangi.

According to the lawyer, the next step for the BBI is to look at the real issues and ascertain where the consensus is so as to kick-start implementation discussions.

Mwangi says that a group of legal experts will then advise on whether the proposals will be implemented through acts of Parliament or a referendum. He was, however, quick to say that he doesn’t know if there will be any additions or deductions to the report.
