Raila Odinga marks 74th birthday in style at the Coast, Uhuru in attendance
Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga turned 74 on Monday and celebrated his birthday in Mombasa county.
The celebration was graced by President Uhuru Kenyatta who was in the county to commission the rehabilitation of the Mama Ngina Drive.
Also in attendance were Mr Odinga’s wife Ida Odinga, his daughter Rosemary Odinga, Mombasa County Governor Ali Hassan Joho, Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi among other leaders.
Raila cut a cake and danced while surrounded by family and friends on his big day.
Mr Odinga and the president have been on good terms after the two set aside their differences and vowed to work together after the famous March 9, 2018 handshake.
The two have since publicly agreed on a number of issues that had previously set them at odds in the past. Key among them are the war on corruption and inclusivity in national decision-making.
