Matiang'i should one day be elected president. He does not suffer fools. He deals with goons until they learn how to behave. He straightens institutions stealing A grades in national examinations until they learn to accept what they have worked for. - Mbugua Albert
This pairing is a non-starter. Two institutions hold huge sway in the outcome of the next elections: 1) The Presidency: Uhuru, courtesy of the State machinery, and 2) Central Kenya, by virtue of huge voter numbers.
Thus, a serious contender has to come from Central or offer the region the deputy president; or a stronger prime minister must be created in the Constitution. I foresee the power barons aligning Gideon for president, Raila his deputy and Uhuru/Waiguru remaining/becoming a powerful prime minister. That's a combination for elections' sake. - Mohamed Rahoy
Matiang’i should be our president and Governor (Alfred) Mutua his deputy. Let the big tribes sit it out for a minute. Unfortunately, a secret MoU will be signed and a compromise guy will be made President. Mediocrity will continue to reign and Kenya will continue to rot. - George Mukua
Matiang'i should first contest for the governor position and if he wins, then he can think of going for the big office. - Mark Choge
It would better if Kenyans elected somebody like Matiang'i deputised by Prof (George) Magoha. Some of the current political class should be at Kamiti Prison. - Mungai Kangethe
