Every face has a sad story behind it.

Why can't someone just understand me?Wondered Abby.
It was not her fault she believed so.If anything, the kind of life she was now living was a total success according to her.

Fresh in campus, this meant a new beginning.Managing her own time, working on her new image in school just a few but to mention.

Owing to the poverty level in their family, it was obvious her mother tried her best.I mean paying her first-semester fee in full, buying her shopping for three months, dressing her and providing her with pocket money.

It was not easy at all.She had to borrow from friends and even groups. It just so happened that the little she could afford as pocket money was not enough for Abby.

She needed to buy her own stuff, purchase airtime for class updates and also food to maintain her well-coved body.

As expected, Abby got a boyfriend. One willing to help her with funds and love. She was tired of borrowing from her roommates and it even became a bother to them.

Rachel being the daughter of an MP and Kelly being the only child of a banker dad and lawyer mum. They got tired of Abby borrowing from them that they stopped talking to her.

"I would be stupid if I reject Albert's money," thought Abby. Following her thoughts, she agreed to Albert's love not because she truely loved him but because she needed to survive.

She remembered clearly when she called her mum severally but never got an audience. One day she called and fortunately, she got one but she had a strange voice that definitely was not her mum's.

Hallo Abby, I am mama John your mum's friend, I have your mum's phone as payment for my debt. It's only that I forgot to remove her line.Otherwise, she was kicked out of the house, her little belongings taken confiscated.

She moved to I don't know where last month so don't call again, ti..ti..ti..to and that was the end of the call. What other worse news could she have gotten that could have affected her?

Her heart broke into pieces and she had weird thoughts crossing her mind.

Everybody knew Albert was a player at least for all those who knew him which he had the exception of freshers.

He was a third-year student who could have attained an award for sleeping with ladies almost the number of his age.

When people saw Abby hanging out with him, they could only wait to see her being dumped and replaced as if nothing happened.

Abby had a plan, she had heard stories of girls being dumped. She opened a bank account and the money Albert spoilt her with, she saved it all.

She played along but never gave Albert a microsecond of a chance to take her to bed, but who could have known that? They kept on waiting while gossiping how disgusting Abby was for sleeping with Albert.

When Albert could no longer accept to spend his money where his urge was not satisfied, he ended it all.Hurray! Their words had come into reality and there was Abby acting all desperate but she knew she was bright upstairs.

As time went by it became almost unbearable, since Albert had been found to be HIV positive, everyone assumed that Abby too was infected.

Her coursemates could not talk to her not even offer her a listening ear.She became a laughing stock in the campus.

As human as she was she felt the pain of being stigmatised, she could not convince anyone she was healthy.

She thought of going home to see her mother whom she had not talked to for a very long period of time. She was not a where of her whereabouts.

As she packed her stuff she remembered her question, "Why can't someone just understand me?" You get that, don't be quick to point a finger and come to conclusions.Every face hides a sad story behind it.
