Reshuffle of Jubilee parliamentary leadership shows MPs are loyal to Uhuru — Ahmednasir

By Vincent Kejitan | June 2nd 2020

Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi on Tuesday stated that the changes in Jubilee Party leadership showed the MPs are completely loyal to President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The lawyer also took a dig at ODM Party saying Jubilee managed to conduct the exercise peacefully despite what he termed as ‘drums of war’ by ODM.

“The smooth reshuffle of jubilee parliamentary leadership showed one thing only...all MPS are 100% loyal to the party leader H.E UHURU....the fitina and drums of war by odm notwithstanding,” he wrote.

The post attracted many reactions, some asking Grand Mullah why he has to mention ODM in all his arguments.

Alex Ndiritu: SC you fail to reason well sometimes. Where does ODM come in?

Chris Otera: He can’t write a sentence without ODM or RAO; so as he can appear relevant.

Jimmy Kings: Not at all. It is only a few days ago that they said "bring it on baby.......we are ready". When it's brought they coil their tails between their legs. That shows you that tangatanga is a group of cowards.

Eric Ng’etich: Twisted!! Twist everything!! Don't blame anything on Jubilee. Squeeze ODM into the Jubilee troubles.

Garissa Township MP Aden Duale on Tuesday retained his position as the Majority Leader of the National Assembly after he was endorsed during a Jubilee Parliamentary Meeting chaired by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Following the removal of Senator Kipchumba Murkomen as Majority Leader in the Senate and his colleague Susan Kihika as majority whip as part of a ‘house clean-up’ many expected Duale to also lose his seat due to his proximity to DP William Ruto.

However, he was spared and will continue serving in his role. According to a statement by State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena, the meeting was also attended by the DP and a number of leaders were endorsed.

“The meeting was attended by Deputy President Dr William Ruto who is also the Jubilee Coalition's Deputy Party Leader, Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju and a total of 212 Members of Parliament.

“Today's Parliamentary Group meeting endorsed Hon Justin B Muturi to continue serving as the Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon Moses Cheboi to continue serving as the Deputy Speaker, Hon Adan Duale to continue serving as the Majority Leader in the National Assembly, and Hon Jimmy Angwenyi to continue serving as the Deputy Majority Leader,” read the statement in part.
