Dominic Akugo, Director Governance, Migori County, together with Carter Foundation ensured the girl joined form one by paying her school fees and they pledged to see her through her high school education.

“I was touched by their story and saw it wise to help her realise her dreams. Carter Foundation will pay her school fees for a year and I will take care of the rest.

Last week, Rhoda Abaja cried out for help and asked well-wishers to come to her aid as she was unable to send her daughter Lencer Anyumba to school.

She was even willing to sell her kidney to ensure her daughter joined form one at Moi Nyabohanse Girls High School.

On Wednesday, a jubilant Rhoda divulged to Ureport that Lencer had already been admitted to school after a well-wisher came on board.

“She is now sorted and ready to begin her education journey,” said Akugo in an interview with Ureport.

On her part, Rhoda could not hide her excitement at this ‘miracle’ saying she is happy her daughter can now complete her studies and achieve all her dreams.

“She has already been admitted and is now waiting to be taken to class. I am so thankful to all those who have helped us.

“May you never lack,” she said.
