The motorbike Cyclist managed to escape after fellow comrades came to her rescue. The incident, which occurred at around 6:30 PM, has left students to question the seriousness of the area police officers in handling their security pleas.

The victim was strangled before the rescue, and her phone and money, part of which included her school fees, were taken away by the unidentified motorbike rider.

The area Police officer, Inspector Suli has asked Masinde Muliro University students to be patient as they track down the motorbike owner. He has further urged students to avoid taking matters on their own hands and work hand in hand with the police to maintain the security of students.

This has happened just a short period after two Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology students were left to battle for their lives at the Kakamega General Hospital after attack by unknown motorbike riders.
