SUMMARY

The President did not spare Trade CS Peter Munya and his PA Jomo Gecaga either, castigating them for not paying attention

During his Namibia visit, the Head of State also warned all those engaging in corrupt activities that they will face the law regardless of their relationship with him

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday dressed down Cabinet Secretaries who accompanied him to Namibia for lacking seriousness.

During a meeting with Kenyans in Namibia, the Head of State slammed Agriculture CS Mwangi Kiunjuri for not listening to the issues that were being raised during the meeting.

"I see my brother Kiunjuri has just opened his notepad to write what I'm saying. He was not interested in writing what these Kenyans were saying.

"Maybe it's because it had nothing to do with Agriculture. He forgets he is a Minister of the Republic of Kenya," stated Uhuru.

The President did not spare Trade CS Peter Munya and his PA Jomo Gecaga either, castigating them for not paying attention.

"The same applies to you. We just look at people who talk here and yet these are my Cabinet secretaries. I have a long-serving PA here.

“Look at him he is just looking at me while looking at his watch and not that which has been said. It is only me who will remember what is said here.

“If I don't remember, then everything will be washed away,” said President Uhuru.

He further asked Foreign Affairs CS Monica Juma to ensure Kenyans living in Namibia are issued with passports in good time after several complaints were lodged.

During his Namibia visit, the Head of State also warned all those engaging in corrupt activities that they will face the law regardless of their relationship with him.
