Father and son arrested for attacking police

A man and his son have been arrested for allegedly injuring a police officer. The two allegedly dislocated the jaw of the policeman who was on duty at Ka Peter Estate on the outskirts of Homa Bay town.

The officer had gone to arrest a suspect in connection with a case on a land dispute. He was injured when a stone was thrown at him.

The officer lost some of his teeth. The suspects have been accused of blocking police officers from arresting the suspect by hurling stones at them.

Homa Bay OCPD Sammy Koskey said the injured officer was undergoing treatment. The two suspects, who are being detained at Homa Bay Police Station, are expected to be arraigned today.
