An uproar was witnessed yesterday at Kefinco Estate near Jua Kali in Kakamega county after a lady threw away her roommate’s properties and then locked her in the house.
Mary Muthoka is reported to have taken that move against her roommate Jane Njoki after a man alleged to be Jane’s boyfriend served her a hot slap on her chicks turning her mad.
This man who sought anonymity arrived at the house of these two ladies only to be embarrassed by Muthoka. Feeling annoyed by Muthoka’s hulls of insults, the man never hesitated but gave a sounding slap to her making her fall down with a thud.
Immediately the man left, Muthoka decided to do the unthinkable and began throwing Njoki’s property outside including clothes, basins, utensils, a bucket of flour and many others to show the extent of her rage catapulted by that slap from Njoki’s lover.
Muthoka went ahead to command Njoki to leave her house claiming that the landlord gave her the authority to throw Njoki’s possessions outside. “I’ve been told to remove her belongings, the landlord has said so.” Muthoka said. After locking her inside she decided to leave for class only to be stopped by a group of students who by then had started converging at the scene. “You are going nowhere unless you unlock Njoki . If it were you being done to all these animosity would you be fine? ”, one of the students told her. When told to return Njoki’s stuffs inside, she blatantly refused saying she won't do that no matter what they do.
Njoki on her side never wanted her belongings to be returned in the house for she wanted the landlord to come and witness what was going on for.
“Let those effects just lie there until the landlord comes. Don’t you bother putting them inside.” Said teary Njoki.
When the landlord was called and informed about what transpired, he dismissed giving Muthoka the authority to throw away Njoki’s belongings. He ordered Muthoka to return the properties inside the house with immediate effect saying she had no rights doing so.
Meanwhile the students who gathered at the scene took the initiative and packed the thrown away stuffs back into the house. The two ladies are students of Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology.
