MP who forged academic papers to be arraigned in court

A Member of Parliament whose academic papers are questionable will soon be arraigned in court after some of his constituents wrote a petition to the Directorate of Public Prosecution and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations demanding that his case that has been under investigations for one year, be expedited.

The MP from Central Rift Valley has been giving exercises to investigators anytime he is summoned to make a statement at the DCI. His latest was that his wife is sick and he needed time to attend to her.

The outspoken MP is said to have forged his education documents from Primary school to secondary and he used a forged KCSE certificate to gain entry into an institution of higher learning to pursue a degree course.

Source privy to the Investigations revealed that when the MP sought to contest the parliamentary seat in 2013, he declined to take the proficiency test and uttered the forged academic certificates to electoral agency to be cleared to contest.

The lawmaker has since kept a low profile so as to avoid any instances that might remind the security agencies of his pending case.
