Murang'a ex-executives beg for elusive county jobs

County assembly
  • County executives from Murang'a County have been forced to beg their Governor for jobs.
  • The ministers, who had first abandoned the Governor thinking he would leave office are now at his mercy.

Some former Cabinet secretaries in Mt Kenya who ditched their governor believing he was politically-finished are desperate.

Grapevine has learnt that at least three of them have been sending emissaries secretly to the governor, who survived by the skin of his teeth so that they can be considered for county jobs.

The governor who is a polished administrator has been giving the fellows false hopes because he has already drawn a list of his favourite appointees.

He has been giving mixed signals to the jobless ministers but his associates have intimated that they have no chance at all.
