Man Utd edged out Tottenham 1-0 thanks to a fine Anthony Martial finish

Martial came in for Rashford in the 70th minute and immediately put the Red evils on the front foot

French winger Antony Martial secured a vital 1-0 win for Manchester United against Tottenham at Old Trafford.

The much-anticipated fixture had a quiet first half, with both teams failing to test either side’s goalkeeper.

In the second half, Martial came on for Marcus Rashford in the 70th minute and the attacker gave Man Utd fans something to smile about, latching on to a Lukaku flick and putting the ball past a helpless Hugo Lloris in the Spurs goal.

The win sees Man Utd maintain second place on the log, closing the gap on leader Manchester City who play West Brom away.
