Arsenal’s boss Arsene Wenger’s future will be decided today. The Frenchman has been the club’s manager for the last twenty one years but his future in the managerial role has been in doubt with a section of fans calling for his resignation.
The details of his meeting with Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke on Monday will be relayed to the board of directors today.
This season Arsenal finished below their usual top four positions, missing the Champions League spot for the first time in twenty two years, for the first time in Wenger’s reign. The Champions League trophy is the trophy that has eluded him and Arsenal.
Often referred to as the ‘Professor’, the 67 year old is currently the longest serving manager in the premier league.
He is the most successful coach when it comes to FA CUP glory with 7 cups to his name. Having won the FA cup in his worst season, he will leave on a high if he steps down.

Ernesto Valverde takes helm as the Barcelona’s boss. Following a bad Barca season, Luis Enrique did reveal in March that he would leave the club.
Enrique was given a good send off in his last match in charge, that is in their Copa del Rey win which was his 9th trophy in his 3 year reign. Valverde was appointed on a two year deal with an option for a third.
The 53 year old former Athletic Bilbao boss played as a forward for FC Barcelona in his early days for two seasons, in 1988-1990. His presentation as the Barca coach will take place on Thursday. His first match in charge will be against arch rivals Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup.
