Clifton Miheso turns to FIFA in quest for justice

Kenya international, Clifton Miheso has lodged a complaint to world’s football governing body-FIFA for his legal team claim that the 24-year old was forced at gunpoint to end his contract with the South African side-Golden Arrows.

The Harambee Stars and Sofapaka winger wants his former club to either transfer the ban and be paid £ 22,000 approximately Sh 2.8 million.

So far the club’s management has not provided any crucial and satisfying details about the incident.

On 22nd February 2017, South African Footballer’s Union(Sapfu) members held a placard demonstration outside South Africa’s FA House on the day that Fifa president Gianni Infantino was meeting with African football leaders in Johannesburg.

Around 20 Safpu members who hoped to catch Infantino's attention held up placards which read 'Justice for Miheso' and, among others, 'Respect footballers' freedom of choice.'

In January, Miheso in an interview with BBC Sport divulged that he signed the agreement merely because he feared for his life.

Miheso, who have won 14 cups for Kenya scoring five goals, now plies his trades with a Congolese outfit- Buildcon FC.
