Bodaboda operator escapes death by a whisker

A bodaboda operator in Bungoma town yesterday evening escaped death narrowly after he was suspected to be in possession of a stolen motorbike.

It is alleged that his motorbike was bearing a number plate similar to the one that was stolen a week ago. When the word reached other bodaboda operators through their chairman, they rushed to the said bodaboda operator baying for his blood.

The bodaboda operator dismissed the claims urging them to accompany to the motorbike owner for justification.

Led by their chairman, they rushed to the owner with no haste. Unknown to them, it was a mistaken identity. Upon checking the log book, the number plate was not the same as they were informed earlier.

In a bit of rage, the irate bodaboda operators turned to their chairman and wanted to beat him up for wasting their time. The chairman fled before he could receive the wrath of the bodaboda operators who almost killed the innocent bodaboda operator.
