SONU chair Babu Owino arrested for assault

SONU Chairman Babu Owino was on Wednesday evening arrested and detained at Kilimani Police Station.
He was on Thursday morning arraigned in court to face charges of causing grievous harm to his opponent Mike Jacobs.
Babu Owino and Mike Jacobs were rivals during the University of Nairobi student elections where Babu won the controversial elections.
Chaos emerged soon after Babu was declared the winner leading to destruction of property and suspension of over 30 students believed to have caused the destruction.
