Kwa mara ya kwanza najipata sijui pa kwenda ndani ya Mombasa baada ya kumpumzisha Ndugu yangu Ahmed Darwesh. Bendenge na wira Ndio jina letu la utani hakika nitakupeza. Jana katika hospitali ya The Mater, Msikiti wa South C, Angani tukikurejesha nyumbani na ndani ya kaburi nikikupokea kukulaza nilikua najiuliza maswali chungu nzima.

Leo hii siamini. Siamini hatutapiga Gumzo, siamini hatutazungumzia maisha yetu ya kila siku, siamini kwamba sitaweza kukupigia simu licha ya Kuwa na nambari zako zote. Darwesh sina Raha nakuombea manani akusamehe dhambi zako zote na ailaze roho yako mahala pema panapolazwa wema. Kwa marafiki wote waliojitokeza nasema asante.

Gavana wa Mombasa Ali Hassan Joho shukran kwa kutukombolea Ndege na kuhakikisha familia ya marehemu, jamaa na marafiki wamepata fursa ya kumwona Darwesh kwa mara ya mwisho. Nakumbuka pembeni mwa afisi yako umetuachia mswala, Quran na makubadhi hakika tutaiga mfano wako bora na kumwomba Allah na kumwogopa yeye licha ya mitihani ya kila siku.
