Out of the 22 cases, 10 were from Nairobi, 9 from Mombasa and the rest in Nakuru, Kwale and Taita Taveta counties.

CAS Aman also announced the number of recoveries increased to 303 as 3 more people were discharged.

During the briefing, the CAS urged Kenyans in areas conducting targeted testing to go for it adding that all costs will be met by the government.

"Once more there are no financial concerns for those who turn positive and the costs will be taken care of by the government," said CAS Aman.

Speaking on lockdown, CAS Aman said that the partial lockdown measures will be reviewed as long as Kenyans comply with containment directives.

“Our fight against is not yet over. We are aware of what these measures have caused in terms of inconvenience including religious activities. The partial lockdown measures will not go on longer than necessary. They will be reviewed but Kenyans must comply with containment measures,” said CAS Aman.
