A young mother, Deborah Misesi has turned to prayers for the safety of her son kidnapped from her rural home in Borabu Nyamira county a week ago.

The child, Samuel Hans Omondi 4, went missing on February 20, 2020, from his grandparents' home at Ekige village Borabu.

A video recording posted on her Facebook timeline under the name Deboxah Misesi, the young mother says her son went missing at the time he was in the company of two young girls.

The two girls had just stepped into the house to fetch some drinking water, and in less than five minutes on returning, Hans was missing.

"I know I have hit rock bottom...I don't know if I will be able to stand again! I have seen the world in it's true colors... Nobody deserves this...I guess God thought I am strong enough....," she says in one of her posts.

She continues to say: "You can really pray please I need your prayers for my baby to be alive and safe wherever he is. Please don't tell me about witchcraft...we have a living God, and everyone is praying for Sam. If it's the will of God that I don't get to see him again, so be it! But that's not my prayer...God send your fire to Elijah's sacrifice and let Ahab and his people be ashamed...No one else but God!"

Deborah and her husband, Omondi Ranold, both medics stay in Nairobi, but their son had travelled up the country for the December holidays and was due to go back.

The matter has since been reported at Nyaronde Police Station with Criminal Investigations officers having visited the home.
