Controversial Gatundu South Member of Parliament (MP) Moses Kuria on Monday, January 20, 2020, turned what he termed as an expose of late IEBC/ICT manager Chris Msando into a Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) address.

The legislator announced on Saturday, January 18, 2020, through his Facebook account that he would address the media on allegations that linked him to the late IEBC/ ICT manager’s murder.

This move, he said, was fueled by constant accusations directed towards him.

“I am sick and tired about people connecting me to the murder of Chris Msando. I will address the media on Monday 20th January 2020 at 3pm about this whole issue” read the legislators post.

However, Kuria did not say much on the expose during his speech.

During his press conference, Moses Kuria only mentioned Msando when he cautioned those who associated him with his death.

Several netizens took to social media to call out on the politician who did not deliver what he promised.

Albina Beener Seephumer from Facebook says “May God deal with the killers of Msando properly in their secret places .... If you called to address and here you are talking nonsense, then you should just stop talking.”

His sentiments were echoed by Denis Oseko who said “Don't waste time, go straight to the killers.”

On BBI, the legislator asked President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to publish the calendar and schedule for the BBI take off, saying that he supports the process.

“And this is my message to Haji, and the two principles by the BBI, the president and the former Prime Minister, let us stop the side shows. We are supporting of the BBI process. Publish the calendar, publish the schedule," said Kuria.

Chris Msando died on July 29 2017 a day after he was reported missing. His death came days before the August 8 General Election.

Police said his body was discovered in Kikuyu forest alongside that of Carol Ngumbu at the same spot

Post-mortem examination of the 21-year-old’s body confirmed she was strangled to death and some of her teeth pulled out.
