A mother in Nyahururu County on Tuesday 29 October 2019 pleaded with the magistrate to have his son locked up.

Teresiah Wanjira, who termed his son, Paul Gitau as stubborn and irresponsible said that she was fed up with his abusive behavior.

Ms Wanjira told the court that she had forgiven his son for a number of offenses with hopes that he will change but Gitau has proven her otherwise.

“My son had been arrested for other offences and I forgave him, he seems not to be ready to change any time soon, this has now become a trend which I cannot tolerate,” said Ms Wanjira.

Paul admitted to breaking into her mother’s house, stealing two chickens and Sh 1000.

The mother says that her son has also been involved in several crimes and that she wants to be relieved from the ‘big burden.’

Court ruled that the case will be mentioned on Wednesday 6 November when there is more evident on the case presented.
